I was born in a small village in the countryside of the Caribbean island of Barbados; the most south easterly of all the Caribbean islands. My grandmother delivered me, really, my mum grabbed me before I hit the ground and my dad held me and cut my umbilical cord. I am a little bit country and a little bit suburban-city; whatever that is. I come from some pretty strong genes. My paternal grandfather at 110, is still going strong. He is currently the oldest living man in Barbados and the third oldest man in the world, according to The Guinness Records.
